Using our state-of-the-art diagnostics equipment we plug straight into your vehicle’s onboard computer, also known as the Engine Control Unit and run a full diagnostics investigation to find any errors that may be occurring with your vehicle. Sensors all around the vehicle report back to the ECU if there are problems such as low fluid levels or increased engine temperature. When an issue is identified the ECU generates an error code. The vehicle dashboard will then display the warning lights for that error. Typically when errors are detected they show up as a warning light on your dashboard. You may also experience some of the symptoms of a faulty ECU itself, which include warnings like the engine check light coming on, engine stalling or misfiring, engine performance issues or your car might fail to start.
